Our Story

The Asian Young Arbitration Practitioners' (AYAP) Summit was born from a simple yet powerful idea: to create a space where the next generation of arbitration professionals can connect, collaborate, and shape the future of dispute resolution.

Our journey began in 2023, when the inaugural Summit in Hong Kong brought together talented young practitioners from across Asia and beyond. The enthusiasm and engagement of that first gathering inspired us to continue building this platform. In 2024, the Second Summit in Phnom Penh reaffirmed the importance of creating regional and global networks, and of giving young voices a place to be heard in international arbitration.

Now, in 2025, the AYAP Summit comes to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, hosted at the prestigious Asian International Arbitration Center (AIAC). This year’s event reflects our growing vision: not only to discuss the most pressing issues in arbitration, but also to foster long-lasting relationships, empower diverse perspectives, and strengthen the international arbitration community.
